About Course

This 8-hour intensive program equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to plan, design, and develop public infrastructure projects—from concept to implementation—aligned with national development goals and regulatory standards. The course integrates project management methodologies, engineering fundamentals, financial and risk analysis, environmental and social safeguards, and stakeholder engagement. Through lectures, workshops, case studies, and simulation exercises, participants learn to create viable, cost-effective, and sustainable infrastructure projects that serve the public good and comply with Philippine laws and international best practices.

What Will You Learn?

  • 1. Explain the legal, institutional, and policy framework governing public infrastructure projects in the Philippines.
  • 2. Apply project planning and management tools (e.g., logical framework, Gantt charts, critical path method) to government infrastructure initiatives.
  • 3. Conduct feasibility studies incorporating technical, financial, social, and environmental considerations.
  • 4. Prepare detailed project proposals and development plans suitable for government funding or public–private partnerships (PPP).
  • 5. Assess and mitigate project risks, including procurement and construction challenges.
  • 6. Integrate sustainability, climate resilience, and stakeholder participation in infrastructure planning.
  • 7. Monitor and evaluate project implementation to ensure compliance, quality, and value for money.
