About Course
This course equips social workers and social service practitioners with the essential knowledge, skills, and ethical frameworks needed to effectively work with vulnerable and marginalized populations in the Philippine context. It focuses on understanding vulnerability, applying rights-based and inclusive approaches, conducting assessments, planning interventions, and delivering responsive social services. Learners will explore laws, policies, case management strategies, community engagement techniques, and evidence-based practices to ensure ethical, culturally sensitive, and sustainable social service delivery.
The course integrates theory with practical applications, real-life case scenarios, and community-based strategies to enhance professional competence in serving children, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, indigenous peoples, urban poor communities, persons in crisis, and other at-risk groups.
